MIT Sloan to Offer an Online Executive Program in Investment Management

Program aimed specifically at CIMA certification candidates

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management has announced that it will offer a new online executive education program with a focus on investment management.

Sloan's "Investment Management Theory and Practice" program will be aimed specifically at candidates who are pursuing certification as Certified Investment Management Analysts, or "CIMA," a service offered by Investment Management Consultants Association, an industry group. One part of the program is an educational component, which the new Sloan program fulfills.

The program will be delivered completely online. "Participants must complete 40 hours of required online work, pass section quizzes, and pass an exam within a 60 day window to successfully complete the course," according to the MIT Sloan website.

Other executive education providers who offer the educational component of CIMA certification include Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business, The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
