HEC Paris Launches an Executive MSc in Finance

14-month program aimed at CFOs and CFOs-to-be

HEC Paris Executive Education has announced the launch of a new Executive Masters program in Finance.

The new program, which launches this month, will cover a range of finance-related topics, including capital budgeting, capital structure, equity markets, and corporate restructuring. It will be delivered on a part time basis, with modules in Doha, London, and Paris. In all, the program includes five, eight-day long modules delivered over 14 months.

According to Jacques Olivier, the academic director of the program, "the recent financial crisis has shown that it can be very costly for corporations to allow too large a knowledge gap to develop between banking professionals and finance executives. Our objective is to bridge this gap as finance executives need to be able to assess independently the investment strategies, structured solutions and restructuring advice provided to them by investment bankers."

The new Executive MSc is aimed at those who will soon become CFOs, as well as CFOs who want to brush up on their finance skills. Other professionals, such as senior managers aiming for c-suite roles, finance directors, and treasurers, will also fine the program useful.
