Cambridge Launches New Executive Education Course in Islamic Finance

2-Day Program to be offered in Cambridge, London, and Dubai

The University of Cambridge's Judge Business School has announced that it will launch a new executive education course that focuses on Islamic finance, beginning later this year.

The program will last two days, and cover the essentials of competing in an Islamic finance environment. It is designed for participants who are working in both conventional banking and Islamic finance institutions. Participants will come away with a strategic understanding of the competitive dynamics of Islamic finance, according to the course webpage.

By some estimates, Islamic banking institutions are growing at some of the fastest rates in the financial industry. In recent years, Islamic finance - which prohibits usury and speculation - has expanded beyond places like the Middle East and Malaysia, and it is being embraced in countries that have large Muslim communities.

The program launches in November in Cambridge, and will be offered in London and Dubai in 2014. For more information, please see the video below or go to the Cambridge Judge press release announcing the launch of the executive program in Islamic Finance.
