Darden to Offer Online Executive Program in Design Thinking

Course to combine recorded video lectures with peer review

The University of Virginia Darden School of Business has announced that it will launch its first online executive education program, which is set to begin this fall.

The program is called "Design Thinking for Innovative Problem Solving: A Step-by-Step Project Course," and will take place over eight weeks. It will combine case studies, recorded video lectures, and peer review.

Participants in the online program will engage with a range of topics, and will solve "a real-world business challenge through a 15-step process using design methodologies and innovation," according to a Darden press release.

The program will launch beginning on September 15th, and will run over eight weeks.

Darden also offers an in-class version of the "Design Thinking for Innovative Problem Solving" program, which is four days long. That program will next be offered in April 2015.
