Concordia to Offer an Advanced Management Program

14-week program combines in-class sessions with online learning

The John Molson Executive Centre’s at Canada's Concordia University has announced that it will launch a new Advanced Management Program this year.

The new program aims to expose managers to a range of fundamental business skills.

Indeed, many managers, especially those who did not study business, may find that a course like this can provide them with skills that they haven't yet acquired.

"If we take an engineering firm as an example, most managers are engineers who have never studied accounting, marketing or finance but might now need to have an understanding of those areas in their job," says associate dean Stéphane Brutus.

"This program can provide them with an introduction to these disciplines in a very short amount of time."

The new executive program is delivered over 14 weeks, through 11 in-class sessions, along with webinars and other distance-learning tools. The program will culminate in a case competition that simulates a real business situation.

Concordia's Advanced Management Program will begin in September 2015.
