Darden Executive Education Launches Design Thinking Specialization

Program will take place online

The University of Virginia's Darden School Executive Education has launched a new online specialization in "Design Thinking and Innovation."

The new specialization will teach participants how to leverage design thinking tools to lead successful innovation efforts.

"Design Thinking is problem-solving method used to fuel innovation and organic growth and we created this Specialization because the students who had taken our project-based class wanted more,” according to Darden professor Jeanne Liedtka.

The new specialization is made up of four courses, each lasting five weeks and delivered entirely online. The courses include the following:

  • Design Thinking Part I: Insights to Inspiration: September 14 to October 25
  • Design Thinking Part II: Ideas to Action: November 2 to December 13
  • Advanced Discovery Tools: September 14 to October 25
  • The Innovative Workplace: November 2 to December 13
